Congratulations to our Scholastic Shooters!

At the Illinois State Scholastic Championships and the Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championships, our shooters did great! The National event included teams from 40 states, plus 3 teams from Canada with over 1,400 kids shooting throughout the 4-day event.

State Competition:

Trap
Intermediate Advance: Justin Phillips, Brendan Farrell, Logan Baecht, Marrisa Tolbert, and Zack Atterberry finished 3rd place.
Intermediate Entry: Stephen Elliott, Jordan Klope, Gabby Billing, Nolen Adney, and Quentin Wade finished 3rd place.
Senior Varsity: Jesse Davis, Jake Furl, Kelby Steiner, Dalton Beacht, and Justin Greco finished 4th place.
Junior Varsity: Chance Ketchum, Roland Bell, Aspen Steiner, Katelyn Batty, and Tanner Critchfield
Rookie: Hunter Thornton, Ben Moyer, Brendon Buhs, Zach Weber, and Seth Yoswig finished 4th place.
Alternates: Britta Moyer & Jamie Gentry

Sporting Clay
Varsity 1: Justin Greco, Dalton Baecht, and Kelby Steiner finished 1st place.
Varsity 2: Jake Furl, Jesse Davis, and Tanner Critchfield finished 4th place.
Intermediate Advance: Justin Philips, Logan Baecht, and Brendan Farrell finished 1st place.
Intermediate Entry: Marrisa Tolbert, Noland Adney, and Zach Atterberry finished 3rd place.

Skeet
Justin Phillips, Logan Baecht, and Brendan Farrell finished 2nd place.

National Competition:

Sporting Clays
Varsity: Dalton Baecht, Justin Greco, and Kelby Steiner
Intermediate: Justin Phillips, Brendan Farrell, and Logan Baecht finished 1st place in the nation!

With this National Championship, our club received National Recognition along with these 3 boys setting a state record for being the first to place in all three divisions along with taking a National Championship.

We also need to note that at the Nationals, we had 2 boys that really set personal best: Jesse Davis for a perfect 100 straight and Rookie Hunter Thornton for a perfect 25 straight!
